Call for papers for the Annual conference of the Associazione di Storia Economica.
WHEN / WHERE
September 14-15th, 2018, Bocconi University, Milan.
For the first time, the ASE Annual Meeting will host an Economic History Workshop. The Workshop will feature two sessions (2-3 papers per session). Papers are circulated ahead of time, and read by the participants, who come to the workshop already armed with their comments and suggestions. The speaker is allowed only a brief introduction, and the floor is thrown open. The Workshop’s purpose is not to inform a passive audience, but to improve the papers of ASE’s members (not least the younger ones: we specifically encourage submissions by ABDs and recent PhDs). It follows that the papers must be work in progress, amenable to redrafting, and not already in final form, accepted for publication.
Deadline: July 1st. Send your proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can send the paper as currently drafted, or a ca. 1,000-word summary;
Note that a current ASE membership is required to attend the Annual Meeting.
